Well as some of you know I do medieval reinacting of a 12th century knight and last weekend was the biggest show in the southern hemisphere called the Abbey Medieval Tournament.

With-out a hell of alot of training this year (been to busy with other things such as cosplay) I took to the tourney field to fight for honour and glory (and the ladies).

All was going well on the saturday, we finished off our massive melee (about 30 people in this one) as the victors!!! Go the normans!!!! (see photos just uploaded, im the one in the brown leather with green under it lol)

Then a 30min break (soooo not enough when you have fought 30mins allready in 20kg's of armor in the heat) and the single combats were on, First fight was fine, a solid victory to myself, then the second fight was to be my most fun, fighting my mate jon.

First pass fine, second pass fine, third pass ohhh snap why didnt my sword just kill him when it was suppost to..../looks down at sword....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
My beautiful sword tinger (so named cause when fighting it sounds like a tuneing fork, its going ting and u going ahhhhhh (and dieing) lol) has snapped off at the hilt!!! (see newly updated pictures) with that my fighting spirit had been broken and i bowed out of fighting for the rest of the weekend basically.

So unless they can repair tinger (a slim possibility) R.I.P Tinger, you have fought hard and long and well with me these past 6 years. Saved my life countless times and killed many foes.

Next fight is in 1 saturdays time the 25th of july at Fort Lytton, come and watch me seek revenge for Tinger and to just have a good time
